Cooking with Sylwia Stiehl
The popularity of the culinary arts isn’t just confined to grown-ups. These days, more kids than ever are discovering an interest in food and cooking. Baking and cooking can be enriching for kids. The kitchen is where children can learn about measurement, cause and effect; follow instructions while improving on their motor skills. It is also a valuable life skill. My cooking classes are big opportunity to explore new flavors in an educational and fun way. We are going to bake muffins with carrots, zucchini, pumpkin, healthy pizzas, oatmeal cookies and many other interesting dishes. I am planning to use a lot of vegetables during our cooking classes. I hope after attending these classes your children will turn into foodies and with any luck cook you dinner.
Piano lessons with Loren Barnett
I would like to invite your child to attend piano lessons, where they will learn basic music theory and the ability to play a handful of well-known, simple tunes on the piano. As there is only one piano teacher this year, there will be a maximum of 6 spaces available to children who are aged 5+.
Football with Gill McMahon
A range of footballs skills and games. Fun activities for boys and girls, Gill used to train Celtic boys (juniors) when she ended her own football career as a football player!
Speech Therapy Lessons with Branka Pietruch
Speech therapy lessons will help your child to improve oral motor skills and global speech and language skills. Children who attend these lessons will intensively practice all the muscles that are involved in speech articulation, such as tongue (which is a muscle), cheek and lip muscles. The lessons will be arranged into a game, so that even very young children can join us and follow the instructions. In order to obtain the maximum potential of the children’s capacity, groups will be limited to a maximum of 5 children.
If your child has some speech or language difficulties, or even if you just want your child to have extra speech stimulation, we highly recommend these sessions to you and your child.
Although these lessons are organized for a group of children, the approach is very individual because we treat each child individually in order to correct the difficulty he/she expresses through speech.
Music Band with Gill McMahon
Band a fun way for children to experience new and exciting music and work together to build a band performing a wide genre of music. Children will have a chance to play on different instruments.
Kickboxing with Gill McMahon
Gill will teach children a form of self respect and discipline. The classes would include kickboxing and martial arts skills.
Sherborne Developmental Movement with Magda Kowalska
I would like to introduce to you the Developmental Movement Method and encourage your children to participate in these activities.
The Developmental Movement Method was created by Weronika Sherborne, a dance and movement English teacher, based on early childhood fun for parents with children.
This has become especially in Poland a commonly used method during physical activities with children.
The main assumptions of the method are to:
- Develop the awareness of your own body and surrounding area by use of different movements.
- Improvement of motility, sense of power, efficiency.
- Getting in contact and cooperation throughout the movement and touch with other people, gaining the ability to trust others.
- Learning relaxation techniques.
A list will be hanging in the locker for you to sign up. Due to the fact, that the exercises are also in pairs and with the participation of the whole group, the number of children participating should be from 4 to 10.
I’ve been using elements of this method during spontaneous activities with children in the kindergarten, which provided a lot of positive experiences for both, the participants and myself.
In 2012, in the Integration Training Center in Warsaw, I’ve finished a course in the Developmental Movement Method, but I try to follow the needs of the children and also choose my own exercises,
All the exercises that I will introduce will be available for you to practice with your children at home. I strongly recommend it as it is a lot of fun!

Cooking with Karolina Skowrońska
Children are always very happy when they can do something by themselves, especially when it is something that they can eat later or share with their family. During our lessons the children will learn how to prepare food to eat. We will have our lessons in the kitchen, because this way, the kids will be learning about everything in the kitchen and how it works. They also will learn that it is very important to clean up when we are finished preparing a meal. I hope that my cooking lessons will be a nice adventure for the kids and they will have a great experience during our classes. Children will prepare a meal, which they will have a chance to eat during our lessons and the rest they will take home to share and eat together with family. We will be making for example muffins, cupcakes, pancakes, cookies, salads or cakes.
Gymnastic with Agnieszka Pylińska
Creative movement activities make children aware of body parts, spatial relationships and muscular control. Offer creative movement activities to preschoolers over and over again helps to encourage healthy physical and cognitive development.
These classes will involve 45- minutes of body and mind gymnastics, which:
- Develops awareness of one’s own body
- Shapes the orientation in space and in body position
- Teaches teamwork skills
- Supports the reception of auditory and motor sensations
- Helps to develop motor and verbal skills
- Develops auditory, visual and motor memory
- Increases concentration and attention span
- Helps to develop auditory-motor coordination and visual-motor coordination
- Great exercise for muscles
Classes are divided into active and relaxing parts, accompanied with elements of music therapy. I will put a great emphasis on a correct body position, stretching, exercising spine and muscles. I will use little bean bags, spiky balls to massage or a big ball to practice coordination. We will play funny games with running, racing, throwing etc.
I’m sure that these exercises will help the children experience positive emotional sensations and will provide them with lots of fun!
Speech Therapy with Branka Pietruch
Speech Therapy is treatment for the correction of a speech impairment which resulted from birth, or from disease, injury, or prior medical treatment. Speech therapy includes treatment of defects and disorders (like stuttering) of speech. Therapy may include audio-visual aids and exercises to help a child develop new speech habits.
Art and Craft with Karolina Piskorska
Arts and crafts are a basic part of childhood. Crafts are a fun way for kids to get creative, and they give them an opportunity to express their talents. Keeping this in mind, this year I would like to conduct extra after-school art classes, and I would like to take this opportunity to invite your children to take part in them.
During these classes we will be working with many different materials such as: paper, crayons, plasticine, sand, glass, cotton wool, crepe paper, felt, styrofoam, tissue paper, string, seeds, beads, boxes etc.
At the beginning of each class I will show the children an example of the day’s art project, so that they can use the model to make their own creations. My goal is that the children will be making their own creations by themselves, allowing their own imaginations to carry their art projects further if they wish. I will do my best to make sure that the children have a lot of fun while they will be working on the variety projects that will be offered.
